MEN’S PROGRAM
Birth of a New Earth is pleased to announce the creation of a brand new educational series designed specifically for men. This revolutionary 12-week program is being offered — first on Maui and then worldwide — as a means to uplift the masculine energy on planet Earth and to help fill a void that runs very deep in our culture due to its tendency to focus on women’s role during pregnancy and birth while relegating men to the peripheral background.
Throughout the western world, there is virtually no education or support for future fathers. The lack of information regarding the masculine role during the conception, pregnancy, and birth phases of family life has left many men feeling alienated and confused during the gestation and birth of their children. Assigned the menial position of “spare part” by their culture and by the medical profession, men have been denied the opportunity to enact their full power during pregnancy and birth, often losing the respect of their partners and unable to fully bond with their children. The alienation and isolation that fathers feel during the childbearing year is at least partially responsible for the breakdown of family love on our planet and the reason why men are leaving their families in droves. It is imperative for us as a species to reverse this negative trend and re-establish the important role of the masculine as it relates to bringing forth new life.
This series is intended to call men forward into their full power and potency and will be a forum to discuss a variety of topics including human sexuality, male/female relationships, the western definition of “masculinity,” the importance of the preconception and conception phases of childbirth, and the vital part that men need to play during the gestation and birth of their children.

You are right, there is virtually no education or support for future faters.
This in general, because I hear from my friend Evelyne Disseau, who makes the accompanying during pregnancy and preparation to delivery, that there is a new generation of young fathers who is marvellous, full of love and attention during gestation, delivery and after. but this is probably the consequence of the preparation they make together with their wifes in that particular environment. Any way a beginning is done.
We hope many more will follow the exemple. Where this is not the case, I think wemen should involve their men and help them to enjoy the pleasure to follow day after day the development of their baby and never let them be in the position of “spare part”, but to cooperate actively. I think women are delighted when men are present in all moments of their beginning as parents. This should be since the decision to have a baby taken together and during the whole period. During the courses for preparation to delivery, this argument should be mentioned because it is very important for all of them, baby included. He need a loving father exactly as he needs a loving mother.

This is sooooooo awesome. I am relieved and glad to see your work is out there. I would love to participate and perhaps contribute in any way possible. Our movie premier, Born Two Birth, is on the 16th at Baby Awareness in Manoa. Hope to see you there!

I am glad to read about that project. I already prepare the fathers inside the prenatal course. I don’t agree with Michel Odent who says that the fathers have no place in the delivery room. That is right if they are in front of the women like spectators… it’s not true if they are near the women like “coach” and protectors.
According to a lot of mothers’s testimony of my course, the father is very usefull during the delivery, they say “without him I should not succeed in giving birth”!!!
